4/2/12 - AP Prep With Laptops

Because AP Exams are right around the corner (May 14, 2012) , I wanted my students
to review for the exam, but my worry was that with senioritis, they would reach their limits if pushed to solve a Free Response section or a Multiple Choice section every single day.

My idea was simple.

1. Give students a skeleton of a full free responses section (diagrams, charts, and graphs only)
2. Have students submit problem solving strategies, useful ideas. etc. using the google form (see below)
3. Project the form on a screen so that students can extract a procedure to solve what they can of the exam skeleton
4. Have the students THEN examine the full free response section.

The goal of this approach is to have students selectively read useful information while avoiding confusing AP language in the free-response sections.

Students then went home for spring break and will complete the exam over break for us to check when they get back.
